Our Chameleon Windscreen Film is one of our most popular window films. It is a multilayered, iridescent film manufactured in the USA that combines fashionable looks with the advantages of standard window tint. Depending on the angle from which you view it, the color of the film changes colour. Our chameleon film can be used on the front windshield because it has an 85% Visible Light Transmission rating, making it entirely legal.

Chameleon windscreen tints have many benefits other than its looks. They have the same 99% UV protection properties as our standard window tint while having a higher heat rejection rate of around 60%.

UK Chameleon Tinting Laws

As stated by the UK government, “The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through”. Therefore, as long as you use a chameleon tint that allows at least 75% of light through, it is road legal.

Faint Blue- £80/£100

This is a very subtle blue which is similar to a factory look. Predominantly blue with hints of purple and green.

Aqua Blue- £120/£150

Our most popular chameleon due to its strong blue colour. Very strong from every angle and all weather types. Predominantly blue.

Burning Red- £130/£150

This is our red chameleon which imitates a burning sky. Very strong from any angle you look at it from. Has a slight blue undertone when looking from inside out.

Yes, all our chameleon tints let in more than the legally required 75% of light through the windscreen making it entirely legal.

Chameleon tints work by reflecting of the light in the sky and creating a mirror like effect. They are most noticeable during cloudy days as the material reflects well of the white in the sky. During night time and indoors the chameleon is barely noticeable.
